is my most popular acrylic painting (and by popular, I mean with people who have viewed my work in person, not here on DA) I decided to make a similar painting...
it sold before I was even finished it.
the client got to see it when it was about 80% finished and requested that I shade the flower with 'rust' tones and since she already paid for it I happily obliged.
My crappy photo killed the depth in the flower's petals.
So, like most paintings, it looks so much better in person.
P.S. Water lily stamen (?) (where the pollen comes from) remind me of those shammies people use to wash there cars with.
or the tendrils on anemones.
